Coal Creek Meals on Wheels supports independence and quality of life for Lafayette, Louisville, Erie and Superior residents by providing nutritious meals and social contact. At Coal Creek Meals on Wheels, we envision a future where every individual, regardless of age or circumstances, enjoys access to nutritious meals and meaningful connections. We aspire to foster a community of dignity, where no one goes hungry or feels alone, where compassion and support thrive, and where all individuals are empowered to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
We deliver hot, fresh, nutritious meals every weekday directly to our neighbors through our Home Delivered Meals Program. The Coal Creek Cafe, our on-site congregate dining program, provides high-quality, nutrient-dense meals for diners as well as essential daily social interaction. Our delicious meals are made from scratch daily by our talented culinary staff and include options from a regular, vegetarian, or allergen-free menu to meet the dietary needs of our neighbors. We serve anyone in need of a hot meal and daily well-check regardless of age or income.
In recent years, Coal Creek Meals on Wheels has seen a dramatic increase in need from our communities. In 2024, Coal Creek Meals on Wheels served over 73,000 meals, and we anticipate serving 80,000 in 2025.
