Domestic violence is a pervasive issue that harms tens of thousands of individuals each year, cutting across all demographics, including age, race and socioeconomic status. Project Safeguard can help!
In alignment with Project Safeguard’s mission our team of advocates and attorneys empower and partner with victim/survivors who have experienced gender-based violence, helping them navigate a course of survivor-driven justice through expert, trauma-informed legal advocacy and representation.
In 2024, Project Safeguard provided services to nearly 700 individuals at our offices in Denver, Adams, and Arapahoe Counties. In addition, to responding to over 3,000 phone calls. All of our services are provided free of charge.
Our legal advocates assist individuals with safety planning, court accompaniment, and resource navigation. Our staff of attorneys provide consultation, assistance with filing paperwork, and representation in civil matters, primarily protection orders and domestic relations.
In these times of uncertainty, as we face real threats related to the funding we receive on federal and local levels, we rely on support from our community partners. We are thankful for Ariel IT, who not only assist PSG with our technology and security needs, but also provide annual financial support in support of our mission.
Wondering how your donation can make a difference?
- $125 funds one month of phone and internet service for a PSG court-house advocate
- $250 provides approximately 2 hours of interpretation services for a survivor with Limited English Proficiency
- $500 covers one year of malpractice insurance for a PSG Staff Attorney
- $1200 ensures a survivor has attorney representation at their permanent protection order hearing
- $2400 covers 4 months of costs associated with providing monthly, in person divorce and custody clinic
