Good Morning, I'm Bob McCool with arielMIS. We are an IT Service Provider located in Louisville, CO an one of our goals is to provide training as well as short tips like this one to help improve your productivity. Today we are working with the CTRL-D Shortcut in Excel (that is "D" as in Dino the Dinosaur) . This is a quick way to copy and paste a cell down many rows with a single keystroke. You can see in this example that we have all of the Flintstones listed in our table and need to copy some information from the first row to all the other rows in the table. Since we know they all live in the town of Bedrock we can simply highlight all the rows in that column with the first row we highlight being the data we want to copy and hold down the CTRL key and press the D key. As you can see the town Bedrock is now copied to all the rows we highlighted. What's really cool is that this also works with Formulas as well as multiple columns at once. By highlighting the top two salary cells along with the rows where I want the formulas to be copied I can press CTRL-D and the formulas are copied relative to the rows they are in. Again, this is Bob McCool with arielMIS. We are Business Professionals and IT Experts helping Businesses maintain secure and stable Computer Systems so everyone can be productive. Referrals are our primary source of new business. If you or anyone you know is looking for a responsive IT Service Provider please direct them to our website at www.arielmis.com.
